Ahn Byung-hoon tied for fourth at the Charles Schwab Challenge, five strokes off the lead
Byung-hoon Ahn is tied for fourth place at the Charles스포츠토토 Schwab Challenge on the United States Professional Golf (PGA) Tour.
Byung-hoon Ahn shot a 4-under 66 with five birdies and one bogey to sit in a tie for fourth place at 7-under 133 after the second day of play at Colonial Country Club (Par 70-) in Fort Worth, Texas (USA) on Sunday. He is five strokes off the pace of leader Harry Hall (England).
Ahn got off to a good start with a birdie at the first (par-5) before missing the green at the fourth (par-3) for a bogey, but back-to-back birdies at the seventh, eighth, 12th and 13th holes helped him shave four strokes off the lead.
Kim Si-woo, who was tied for seventh with Ahn on the first day of competition, traded four birdies for a bogey on the day and is tied for 19th with a 3-under par total of 137. Lee improved by one stroke to move from tied for 22nd to tied for 19th. Korean-American players Min Woo Lee (AUS), Justin Seo and Michael Kim (USA) are tied for 28th at 2-under par 138.
Lim Sung-jae, who has struggled since visiting his homeland, missed qualifying for the second straight week following last week’s PGA Championship with a 2-over-par 142. Rookie Kim Sung-hyun was also eliminated with a 7-over par 147.
