In the 2023-24 season, KT 스포츠토토appointed coaches Park Ji-hyun, Park Jong-cheon, and Kim Young-hwan as coaches to lead the team along with newly appointed coach Song Young-jin. Coach Park Ji-hyeon and coach Kim Young-hwan newly joined, and coach Park Jong-cheon, who has been with KT Sonicboom for 8 years, is also joining.

Coach Ji-Hyun Park played for 13 seasons from 2002 to 2017, and immediately after his retirement, he performed power analysis at DB Promi. He later served as a coach at Whimoon Middle School.

Coach Park Jong-cheon has been coaching KT Sonicboom since the 2015-16 season. As a professional shooter during his active career, he is evaluated as having made a great contribution to improving the shooting ability of KT Sonicboom players. He will assist head coach Song Young-jin along with newly joined coaches.

Coach Kim Young-hwan is a KT legend player who will retire at the end of the 2022-23 season and join the KT Sonicboom coaching staff from the next season. Coach Kim Young-hwan’s many game experiences and thorough self-management know-how are expected to have a positive impact on the players. In addition, as a captain of KT Sonic Boom for many years as a player, he is expected to contribute to communication with the team and formation of teamwork.

KT, which quickly formed a coaching staff after the appointment of coach Song Young-jin, began preparations for the 2023-24 season in earnest, and the players will join on June 1.
