Women’s professional basketball Bucheon Hanawon Q Lee Jung-hyun and Cheongju KB Stars Park Ji-eun are leaving the court. When an agreement could not be reached by the deadline for the third round of FA negotiations, he decided to retire.

On the 27th, the Korean Women’s Basketball League (WKBL) announced the results of the third round of negotiations for the 2023 Free Agent (FA). Both Lee Jung-hyun and Park Ji-eun gave up negotiations with other clubs when renegotiations with their teams failed.

Lee Jung-hyun, who graduated 크크크벳from Cheongju Girls’ High School and entered the professional stage in 2011, settled down at Hana 1Q after working for Woori Bank and KDB Life Insurance. In 83 games of her professional career as a center, she averaged 3.0 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.2 assists.

Park Ji-eun, a graduate of Suwon Girls’ High School, started her professional career in 2014 in a KB uniform. He appeared in 76 career games and averaged 1.1 points, 0.9 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game.

With the retirement of the two, the free agency market for women’s basketball this year has also entered its final stage. Only Kim Jong-un wearing a Hana 1Q uniform and Kim Ye-jin heading to KB were left with the compensation process. Hana 1 Q and KB must submit their list of protected players to Asan Woori Bank and Hana 1 Q, respectively, by 5:00 pm on the 28th.
