The best pitcher in the major leagues (MLB) for the past month has been evaluated as Yusei Kikuchi (Toronto Blue Jays).

The Toronto Star analyzed on the 16th (local time) that Kikuchi was the best MLB pitcher in terms of ERA over the past month.

Kikuchi has a 1.19 ERA in his last five starts. His earned run average in his last six starts has been 1 or less.

먹튀검증Kikuchi, who is spending his second full season in Toronto, recorded an average ERA of 3.44 in 24 starts, ranking second among Toronto starting pitchers behind Kevin Gausman (3.04). He is better than Jose Berrios (3.53).

He’s also having a career-best season, posting a 1.4 WAR over the past 30 days, according to the Toronto Star.

In 2021, right before signing a three-year, $36 million contract with Toronto, Kikuchi posted a 4.41 ERA in 29 starts for the Seattle Mariners.

Even in his first year with Toronto, Kikuchi struggled with a 5.19 earned run average both in the start and out of the bullpen.

This season, Kikuchi was Toronto’s fifth starter. With Hyun-Jin Ryu missing, he barely managed to pull himself up in the rotation.

However, when ace Alec Manoa unexpectedly performed sluggishly and was demoted to the minor leagues, Kikuchi revived. It means that it completely fills the void of Manoa.
