Na Sung-beom hits home run against Jeonbuk for first time in 47 games…KIA looks to win 9th straight
KIA Tigers’ Na Sung-beom (34) hit a home run against the Doosan Bears, igniting his team’s winning streak.
Na Sung-beom, batting third and starting in right field against the Doosan Bears in the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on Saturday, hit a two-run home run (his 15th of the season) over the right field fence in the top of the first inning with the score tied 0-0.메이저놀이터
It was Na’s first home run of the season against Doosan.
Na has hit four home runs this season against KT Wiz, three against SSG Landers, two against Samsung Lions, and one each against the rest of the teams.
He is only the third player to hit four home runs against a former team this season, joining Noh Si-hwan (Hanwha) and Jose Pirela (Samsung).
After a delayed start to the season due to injury in late June, Na has been swinging the bat with fire and has been a big part of KIA’s recent surge. He has continued his ups and downs this season, hitting a home run against the Jeonbuk squad in just 47 games.
KIA, which is attempting to extend its winning streak to nine games, opened the scoring with a home run by Na Sung-bum, then added a run-scoring single by Park Chan-ho, a two-run homer by Kim Do-young, and an RBI double by Socrates Brito in the top of the fourth inning. The score was 7-0 in the top of the fourth inning, extending their winning streak.
